Announcement: We're moving soon!

Greetings everyone. I just want to announce that I'm constructing a new, shinier portfolio. I promise for a more organized and interesting portfolio. The portfolio is half way done, so please bear this blog until I completely publish the new portfolio.

This blog will be resumed as an alternative blog portfolio.

Thank you for your time reading this post.

11: Windmill Light Visualization And Image Manipulation [After Effects]

This is my windmill light visualization and image manipulation project. It is done in After Effects and the windmill was made by one of my classmate. I manipulated all the pictures and setting, and I made the windmill lighting entirely in After Effects.

Please enjoy.

10: Hans egen verden (His Own World) [Premier Pro]

This is my group's short film called "Hans egen verden" or "His Own World" in English. I came up with the story. I felt that I needed to create a theme that is a daily life situation, something that will reflect and impact the society psychologically. I was inspired by several Thai commercials, a simple daily life situation that really impacts the audience. So I wonder how could I make something similar to that, yet original.

The answer was simple: "An everyday technology". Yes, 'A smart phone'. The concept was inspired by a Thai DTAC's commercial, but I want to express it in a different way. The commercial already shows that people disappeared, and those people are "active". Our film works the opposite: The disappeared people are "passive", the film "progressively" works its way up.

When I thought about the story setting, it must be a place where all of the members in my group could gather conveniently, and it must make the story effective. A smart phone and filming in our school could not be any simpler. So we decided to utilize the entire school and it worked out pretty well.

All of these ideas were thought up quickly during a short recess.

The shooting process was a mess. Some of us are unavailable due to their internship interview. There was a missing role. One of the actor would not come to set as promised, and we needed to find an alternative plot which actually worked out, somehow.

The editing process was fun. Because I was new to Premier Pro, it took me several days to figure the program, and boy, the program is amusing and flexible to work with. I really enjoyed editing the video.

Overall the project was pretty well made in a short period of time: 1-2 days of learning Premier Pro, 4 days of planing, 1 week and 2 days of filming, 2 days of editing. I have never used Premier Pro before. The closest program that I've used was After Effects. But after a two days of learning, I could quickly adapt to Premier Pro with guidance from my teacher.

I realized that making a film is not easy. It takes a whole lot of effort, time, and commitment to create a good film. I hope this film could project my group's effort of getting the film done on time, with quality and hard work.

Please enjoy the film.
